Haley Freedlund is a trombonist and vocalist, working primarily in free improvisation, jazz, and new works. She has been based in Seattle since 2011, where she has established herself as a multi-disciplinary powerhouse in the performing arts community.

Haley is a frequent musical collaborator with Wayne Horvitz, Tom Varner, Christian Pincock, Ahamefule J. Oluo, Karl Blau, and Heatwarmer. She has enjoyed collaborations with Cherdonna Shinatra, iji, Phillip Greenlief, The Empty Pockets, BATTERY, St. Paul de Vence, Inverted Space Ensemble, and Verlaine & McCann.

As a producer and manager, Haley has enjoyed working relationships with Ahamefule J. Oluo, The Westerlies, Allison Miller, Darcy James Argue, and ings, and is currently touring Ahamefule J. Oluo's second stage show, SUSAN, under the direction of Jennifer Zeyl. Haley produces events and curates for the Racer Sessions and the Seattle Improvised Music Festival, and works frequently with the Town Hall Seattle, the Earshot Jazz Festival, The Triple Door, and the larger Seattle music scene.

Haley also works actively as a digital and film photographer within the same performing arts scenes that she plays - shooting portraits, band commissions, and live music + dance.
